A redesigned V-1 with a carbon fiber body would have a range much greater than 250 km. It would also be cheaper and fly faster. Also, such a cruise missile could safely be launched outside the range of Russian rocket and conventional artillery. An air-launched variant would enable and even greater range, possibly up to 1,000 km.
Disarmed Hydra 70 rockets could be used as boosters with the Hydra warhead load into the larger missile.
Surplus Soviet S-8 rockets could also be used.
Disarmed M26 rockets could be used as boosters as well.
